What's Communication?
I defined communication as;
Language
- It indicates that communication is a language that different social groups use depending on which method of communication they consider is most effective or convenient for them to understand and deliver a message.
Interpretation
- It means that when we communicate, we must be able to recognize and interpret various forms of communication. We should be capable of understanding many gestures, signs, and other forms of nonverbal communication in order to fully understand not just the common way that we communicate.
Exchange of thoughts
- Of course in communication, there is an exchange of thoughts, ideas, emotions, argumentations and discussions between two or more individuals.
Communication is not as simple as we think, because some people are unable to speak or hear, and some have a condition that cause them to be unable to interpret the common way of communication and that's what it makes complicated. That is why we have verbal and nonverbal communication so that each of us may deliver a message in a way that we are comfortable and where we can understand well. There are several methods for exchanging ideas; one is using a way of communication that depend on the people with whom you will interact. To understand everyone, we need to know about and acquire different ways of communication skills. We should be aware of some elements of communication, because it is important in communicating as every element has their own purpose to make every communication more effective. And also, adjustment is one of the important aspects of communication to interpret any message sent by anyone. Like in talking with deaf, we must learn gestures similar to them in order for us to understand each other. But we need to know that, the most important in communication is that you know how understand every message that is being sent to you.
